Abstract

The possibility of creating and operating solar power plants, including silicon photovoltaic converters, a hydrogen generator based on the process of water electrolysis, metal hydride compounds for the accumulation and long-term storage of hydrogen, hydrogen-air fuel cells for generating secondary electricity and hydrogen water-or-air heater for generating thermal energy is considered. Our concept of the solar energy ‘microgrid” and its components from the standpoint of ensuring continuous generation of electrical and thermal energy, regardless of the time of the day and weather conditions, is described and justified by calculation. For example, calculations were carried out for the Aragatsotn region at an altitude of 1250m above sea level.
