A method to improve the parameters of linear asynchronous machines with a massive secondary element is developed, which differ by construction of non- winding secondary element, value and shape of the main parameters and characteristics. Linear asynchronous motors have found a wide application in executive mechanisms of industry and production, which need a linear movement with a required value and law of change of a traction force. The biggest projects of linear asynchronous motor application are connected with the creation of high-speed road transport. Linear asynchronous motors with a secondary element covered with a copper layer are investigated. A method for gas-dynamic spraying of copper on a ferromagnetic material is proposed, which is technologically and environmentally more friendly in relation to materials in traditional methods and allows to obtain parts with the desired mechanical, electrical and magnetic properties. Various thicknesses of the copper layer are considered. It is shown that with a change in the thickness of the copper layer, it is possible to change the magnetic and electrical parameters within the specified limits. The sequence of calculation of the parameters of a linear asynchronous machine with a secondary element covered with a layer of copper is given. The calculation of the parameters of a linear asynchronous machine with a massive secondary element with a copper layer of different thicknesses is carried out. The dependences of the equivalent active resistance of the secondary element and the critical slip on the thickness of the copper coating are constructed. On the basis of the presented method, the calculation of the mechanical characteristics of a linear asynchronous motor with a massive secondary element covered with a copper layer of different thicknesses is made. Based on the calculated data obtained, the mechanical characteristics of a linear asynchronous motor with a massive secondary element of various designs are built.
