Abstract

Specific issues on modeling the dynamic and emergency operating modes of heavy-duty vehicles with an asynchronous electric traction drive are considered. The development of electric transmissions with an asynchronous traction drive represents a promising direction in quarry transport development. The reliability of new electric transmissions with asynchronous engines primarily depends on the normal functioning of the asynchronous traction drive. It is shown that the use of asynchronous traction engines (ATD), powered by rectifier-inverter converters reduces the operating costs and improves the traction qualities of heavy-duty vehicles, however, it causes a namber of specific dynamic loads in the electric drive during different operating modes. Dynamic modes in the electrical part of the drive can lead to significant current overloads in electrical equipment and the occurrence of impact forces and mechanical transmission breakdowns.

The effective use of an asynchronous traction drive in electromechanical transmission systems is therefore an urgent and important task. The main prerequisite for this is the creation of high-performance digital control systems for asynchronous traction electric drives that take into account the electromechanical processes occurring in the drive system during the motor vehicle's various dynamic movement modes. The developed dynamic model of an asynchronous electric drive allows to study the dynamic processes in an asynchronous drive in various operating modes, including emergency modes, which is important for designing reliable, adaptive AC electric drives for transport and industrial applications. The modeling results obtained can be used to increase the speed of the electric drive in the event of various changes in the mechanical load, finally leading to an increase in the system's traction indicators in both static and dynamic modes.
