The process of developing and creating an electronic device consists of several main stages: research and selection of a prototype, design, manufacturing, and finally bench and field tests. One of the main parts of development is the study of the technical capabilities of the known prototypes, the characteristics of which are closest to the technical specifications of the device being developed. The present work is devoted to the study of the possibility of creating a receiving-transmitting system that allows to determine the symbol rate of the received digital signal.
There are many developments using different architectures of SDR systems- Software Defined Radio. The main advantage of such systems is their ability, with the help of software, to control and determine the functionality of the entire system. One of the main properties of the SDR system is the ability to automatically determine the symbol rate of a digital signal.
It is known that the efficiency of the symbol rate detection deteriorates with the non-linearity of the receiver and transmitter, with a limited symbol length and a low signal-to-noise ratio. The algorithm by which the receiver automatically determines the symbol rate of the data, ensuring the optimal signal reception and processing is described in this work.
