The problem of increasing the stability of the filling mass in the development of weakly stable ore bodies in the conditions of the Sotk deposit is considered. The field is located in Republic of Armenia and is represented by silicified and intensely fractured rocks. According to morphology, the field was developed in difficult mining and geological conditions. The mine used a top-down layered development system with a hardening tab. Based on the mining conditions of the operated blocks, some features of this version of the development system were identified that reduced the technical and economic performance of production due to dumps. Failures formed almost immediately after the development during the sinking process, sometimes in one or two months, which affected the stability of the filling array. However, the experience in processing the block showed that the stability of the backfill array is also affected by the formation of layering.
The article provides a correlation between the ore strength coefficient and collapse parameters. Due to the revealed intent of changing the collapse parameters, a method for the rapid determination of the support parameters has been developed. A method of increasing the stability of the filling moss is also given, in the workings of the worked-out layer, reinforcement rods are installed on the soil. The article also presents a layer mining scheme, at which mining costs are reduced and ore production from the block increases, which leads to an increase in the intensity of mining. Based on the research results, a development system option with a sub-floor recess with a hardening tab is recommended where the block is divided into subfloors by field drifts, and the subfloor is developed by descending merges. In the recommended version, the volume of rifling work is reduced by 40%.
