The leading trend in the development of the footwear industry is to increase production efficiency, mainly by improving the quality of all types of footwear. The quality of footwear depends on a whole range of properties, an important indicator of which is the strength of the footwear. The strength of shoe parts is largely determined by the strength of its connections․ Currently, the strength of various connections of shoe parts is assessed without taking into account the presence of many factors that jointly influence them. Therefore, the problem of increasing the strength and reliability of shoe joints remains relevant, since joint rupture is one of the main defects in shoes. An analysis is the sole of the
methods of fastening the upper part of the shoe, as well as the connections of the upper part is carried out.
The advantages and disadvantages of shoe fastenings secured by the adhesive, thread and oilcloth methods are studied․ Research work is carried out to determine the strength of adhesive, thread, glue joints of the upper and sole of shoes, as a result of which it is proved that the strength of shoe seams is significantly influenced by joint changes in temperature and humidity.
The tests were carried out on an installation that provides determination of the strength of shoe joints under environmental conditions (temperature: t>10°C, humidity: φ = 50...75%) and under conditions of a joint change in the angle of inclination of the shoes to the horizon. As a result of the tests, a database of requirements for the strength of adhesive, thread, and glue joints of shoes under conditions of joint changes in temperature and humidity was obtained.
Correlation and regression models have been developed that can be used to quickly and objectively assess the strength of joints under any changes in temperature and humidity of the joint.
