THE MODERN TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNDERGROUND ARCHITECTURE

Abstract

The architectural solutions in the development of world metro stations are analyzed and, on this basis, the leading trends in the formation of new and reconstruction of old metro stations are identified. The independent figurative language of the architecture of metro stations, reflecting the specifics of this type of structures, the search for national identity of the stations; adaptation of stations in relation to the modern rhythm of passengers, providing maximum comfort and efficiency of their operations are considered.
