Abstract

A hydro-aggregate used in small hydro power plants is presented. Justifications of applying compact hydro-aggregate units are given. The necessity and possibility of applying a flywheel in the hydro-aggregate system are investigated. The possibility of flywheel application as an external damping system of the hydro-aggregate is shown. The approach to designing an external damping system is introduced.
