Abstract

An attempt to estimate the spent fuel cooling time in the spent fuel pool is made. As a result, this residual heat release will accept the value to make it possible to transfer the spent fuel to the dry storage and to carry out safe heat release by natural air convection from the surface of the canister with the spent fuel assemblies transferred to the dry storage.
