THE INITIATOR CONCENTRATION IMPACT ON THE SPEED OF FRONTAL POLYMERIZATION OF VINYL MONOMERS

On the example of the acrylamide frontal polymerization, the reaction order by the initiator and, accordingly, the mechanisms of the reaction initiation and destruction of chains have been investigated. The dependence of the front speed distribution of the filled acrylamide polymerization from the initiator's (benzoic peroxide and azoizobutironitril) concentration is shown. Experiments have been carried out under the conditions of the front propagation in different directions (from top to bottom, and from bottom upwards). The independence of the front speed of the direction of its propagation has been shown.
