DETERMINATION OF THE KINETICAL PARAMETERS OF THE SYNTHESIS OF ACETAMINOPHENE UNDER CONDITIONS OF HETEROGENEOUS CATALYSIS

Abstract

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is the most commonly used analgesic worldwide due to its low cost and over-the-counter availability.

The purpose of this work is to determine the kinetic parameters (reaction order, rate coefficient and activation energy) of acetaminophen synthesis by the acylation of p-aminophenol with acetic anhydride under heterogeneous catalysis conditions.
