The operation conditions of contact welding electrodes, the used alloys, their structure and characteristics are studied. It is shown that to ensure high electrical conductivity, it is advisable to use copper as a matrix material, and the high strength and heat resistance can be provided by their hardening with dispersed grains or strengthening with dispersed particles. As a result of studying the constitution diagram of the copper-based alloys as alloying components, Ni, Si and Cr are selected.
