Abstract

The types of software defined radios (SDR) that can be used in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication systems are described. Architectures of multichannel coherent and pseudo-coherent transceivers are compared. The effects of both architectures on the noise immunity of Alamouti space-time block codes are introduced.
