Abstract

It is shown that copper chlorides undergo an effective heterophase chemical conversion under the effect of gas-phase chain reactions (CRE-method) of hydrocarbon oxidation. Depending on the process conditions, the conversion products of anhydrous copper dichloride (CuCl2) are: CuCl, Cu2(OH)3Cl, Cu(OH,Cl)2•3H2O, Cu2O and completely reduced metallic copper with different crystal structures, has been estalished. The course of the process is determined by the parameters characterizing the radical-chain gas-phase process.
