ASSESSMENT OF THE STABILITY OF THE ROCK MASS

Abstract

As it is known, the effective development of a mine depends on two interrelated principles: the chosen treatment system and the stability of the rock mass. Rock stability forecasting allows using the most effective technological solutions during the extraction of minerals and mining operations. It should be noted that both in the past and present, the stability of the rock mass is assessed by the strength coefficient of rocks, while the factors affecting strength are not taken into account.

The article presents all the factors that affect the stability of the rock mass.
