THE IDEA OF NATION PRESERVATION IN THE WORKS OF NIKOGHOS SARAFYAN

Abstract

Two periods of development are outlined in the history of the diaspora Armenian literature – the originization and realization until the 1940s and the development – the period after the World War II up to present. The main subject and the motives of the writers creating in these two periods are related to the idea of nation preservation, becoming, on the whole, literature of nostalgia. The issues on nation preservation are considered in the works of the diaspora Armenian writer Nikoghos Sarafyan.
