THE RETURN OF ARF TO HOMLAND AND ITS PARTICIPATION IN THE STATE-BULDING PROCESS

Abstract

On August 8, 1990, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation officially returned to its homeland, and has taken an active part in the Karabakh movement at all stages of the problem development. At the same time, striving to demonstrate its abilities in the process of establishing and strengthening the independent statehood of Republic of Armenia, ARF has taken an oppozite position to the republic authorities in a number of fundamental issues, the disagreements with the authorities finally led to the persecution launched against the party. On February 9, 1998, the ARF's activities in Armenia was officially rehabilitated.
