To simplify the analysis and calculation of DC voltage pulse converters (DCVs),
various approximate methods are widely used, which significantly reduce cumbersome
calculations and, at the same time, allow obtaining acceptable results. The analysis and cal
culation of DC voltage converters by the method of equivalent circuits of "DC-DC" trans
formers are carried out. The intermittent current modes and limiting cases on the buck con
verter circuit on the MOSFET transistor are considered. Using the example of the analysis
of step - up and step - down converters, the effectiveness of this method is shown. Some
basic design formulas for pulse DC voltage converters are obtained. The DC transformer
model simplifies the analysis of DC-DC converters with high efficiency. The given method
can be easily combined with traditional circuit analysis methods. This method can be im
proved to consider the losses in the circuit elements. In general, the equivalent circuit of a
DC / DC converter can be obtained from the volt-second balance of the inductive chokes
and the balance of the capacitor charge.
In the constructed equivalent circuits, the equations of the circuits and nodes should
correspond to the balance equations (volt-second and charge balance).
