Abstract

In solving the problem of integrated subsoil development, the task of creating and using the developed area plays an important role whose solution can ensure the increase in the economic efficiency of mining, an improvement in the environmental situation, and a more economical use of land resources. In this regard, studies aimed at the formation of artificial voids during the operation of deposits for the purpose of their subsequent use should be considered very relevant.

As a result of technological research, the fundamental possibility of formation of underground voids during the development of powerful and very powerful ore bodies in unstable rock-ore massifs has been proved. For this purpose, a new combined method of operation has been created, which combines the advantages of open and underground mining with the simultaneous formation of underground voids-free volumes for the placement of tailings, which together provide high technical and economic indicators of ore mining, and dump improve the environmental situation.

The main characteristic feature of the new method is that a powerful and very powerful steeply dipping elongated ore body in the upper part is mined by an open pit. Then, below the open pit bottom in the ore body massif, transverse vertical walls-diaphragms and inclined walls are preliminarily created on the side of the sides of the ore body, after which, laterally bounded by concrete and reinforced concrete walls, temporary ore pillars are mined out by a system of storey blasting with end-face ore extraction, where ore breaking is carried out using parallel blast holes drilled from the bottom of the open pit. The result is an underground structure - chambers that can be used to house tailings.

The use of a new combined method of field development allows: to reduce the total volume of overburden; reduce the halo of land disturbance; reduce the damage caused by mining to the environment; increase the intensity of field development; create underground voids accommodate tailings; ensure the highest technical and economic indicators of industrial development of the deposit.
