Currently, the choice of fiber composition for mixed fabrics used in the textile and light industry is mainly made on the basis of single quality indicators. To modern fabrics of various purposes and fiber composition are set to different requirements, since they must have a certain set of consumer properties. In the complex of clothing quality indicators, the most important role is given to physical, hygienic and mechanical properties, which determine the microclimate around the human body, heat and mass transfer with the environment, conditions of production and operation of clothing, its strength and wear resistance. Physical, hygienic and mechanical indicators characterize the degree of compliance of clothing with the living conditions of a person and the higher this degree, the better the person’s well-being, the lower the possibility of his illness and the higher his performance.
The problem of creating clothing that meets physical, hygienic and mechanical standards is becoming most relevant in connection with the widespread introduction of materials obtained by chemical means and the desire to reduce the material consumption of clothing, the compliance of clothing with the period of wear and the conditions of its use.
Therefore, when assessing the quality of clothing, taking into account physical, hygienic and mechanical indicators is the most important condition that stimulates the production of high-quality clothing and fabrics for it.
A method has been developed for assessing the quality of mixed fabrics based on their mechanical and physical-hygienic properties. The index of a complex indicator of the quality of mixed fabrics serves as an evaluation criterion. The developed graphical-analytical assessment method allows you to quickly and objectively assess the quality of two- component mixed fabrics of various fiber compositions and select a mixed fabric for clothing according to its purpose and period of operation.
