Abstract

An attempt to define the peculiarities and difficulties of comprehending an academic text in Russian, the role and functions of academic translation, considering the classical fundamental works on the methods of teaching the Russian language to foreigners, as well as new trends in that sphere, in particular, the linguistic and psychological aspects of constructing a text is made.
