Abstract

The scientific and technological progress is caused by the continuous expansion of the use of a wide range of materials with hardness and hard – to be processed characteristics. The treat such materials is significantly complicated the process of the cutting, tool wear occurs much more rapidly. These include heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant steels and titanium alloys.

The features of the nature of the cutting tool wear and the tear flow in the processing of heat - resistant and corrosion - resistant steels and alloys in the interrupted cuts are investigated. Experimental data on the wear depending on the main parameters influencing the cutting conditions are introduced. The feature of the impact of physical and mechanical properties of hard – processed materials on the character of wear are analyzed.
