Theoretical aspects of composite materials reinforced by discrete fibers are given. Based on model investigations of extrusion processes of powder-fiber composites, the superhigh plasticity of metallic fibers is revealed. General regularities of the extrusion processes of powder- fiber composites, depending on the angle of initial fiber orientation, the matrix angle, the relationship of the fiber length to the diameter and the percent reduction, providing the production of metallic composite nonporous materials and therefore with maximum level of mechanical properties are established.
