SOME ISSUES ON THE MODERN SPECTRAL THEORY FOR DETERMINING THE SEISMIC LOADS ON STRUCTURES
Keywords:

The history of the development of the spectral theory for determining the seismic loads on buildings, and its modern state is considered. The conventionality and approximateness of this theory, due to a number of controversial assumptions, as well as the necessity of creating a new design procedure are shown.
