ANALYZING THE MAIN CAUSES OF THE BIG SLIDE ACTIVATION IN THE LORI MARZ DEBED GORGE
Keywords:

The engineering-geological peculiarities in the Debet gorge of Lori region are considered. Here, due to the sharp drop in relief and engineering-geological conditions, rockfalls and rapid activation of landslides are frequent. In particular, the role of interlayer, loess-like soils in the stability of slopes in volcanic basalts is mentioned. The results of studies of two major landslides that have taken place here in the last 12 years have been used, and specific measures have been proposed to prevent such landslides.
