Abstract

The Russian prominent poet, translator, public figure Sergei Gorodetsky wrote many articles, poems and series of essays devoted to Western Armenia and Artsakh.

Gorodetsky lived and worked in Transcaucasia from 1916 to 1921, participated in the cultural life of the country, interacted with Armenian intellectuals, especially H. Toumanyan. In his speeches on the Armenian Cause, Gorodetsky has defended the interests of the Armenian people, exposed the colonial policy of the European powers towards Armenia, expressed his belief in its viability.
