Abstract

Optical and electro-optical characteristics of a new electro-optical modulator based on Fabry-Perot microresonator are analysed via computer simulation. The microresonator consists of thin LiNbO3 plate with SiO2/Si multilayer mirrors. Metallization of lateral facets of LiNbO3 plate permits to control the intensity of light propagating through the microresonator by incoming microwave field.
