At present, the information-cognitive investigation of large neuronal combinations constitutes a fundamental problem of modern science. The existing optical methods for recording the activity of large neuronal combinations do not provide comprehensive infor-mation about the patient’s health status, as they fail to resolve short-duration processes (on the order of milliseconds) occurring within these populations; consequently, the detection of individual combinations remains unattainable. euronal combinations exhibit collective electrical activity and the capability to transmit electrical signals through neural networks, which forms the basis for the implementation of information processing in neuronal combi-nations.
The electrical activity exhibited by neuronal populations is fundamentally based on the “discharge” of neurons via transmembrane ion channels. The opening of a localized ion channel enables ion flux across the membrane, leading to a change in ion concentration in the vicinity of the channel and, consequently, to the generation of an electric field and po-tential.
In order to increase the accuracy and duration of recording and measuring the potentials of neurons in the cerebral cortex without violating the integrity of neuronal cells, the mechanism of ensuring a galvanic contact between neuronal membranes and gold protrusions used for recording potentials is studied. In addition, the possibility of obtaining a multi-electrode probe including graphene films, gold protrusions and droplet-shaped micro-apertures is considened, which allows recording neuronal potentials without damaging neuronal membranes.
