Abstract

The ecological aspects of electrical discharge machining are considered, in particular the application of ecologically friendly dielectric liquids. The possibility of using vegetable oils as dielectrics is shown. The experimental data on the productivity and the hardness of the craters’ surface layer formed by single electrical discharges in various dielectric media are presented.
