THE BOUNDARY CONDITION FOR DETERMINING THE TOP POSITION SURFACE OF ACCUMULATED SEDIMENTS

Abstract

To solve the equations, describing the hydrodynamics of water sediments accumu­l­a­t­ed in front of a retention dam, it is very important to correctly determine the boundary conditions of the process. The paper discusses the boundary condition for calculating the coordinates of sediments accumulated. It takes into account the hydrodynamics of the formation of the width of the new channel. As a result of the study, the regularity in the variation of this width is proposed, allowing to determine the position of the stabilized surface of the accumulated sediment by the path of the analytical solution of a simple differential equation.
