THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDY RESULTS OF REGULATIONS OF THE CHANGES IN THE SIZE OF THE GROUND DAM BREAK

Abstract

Experimental investrgations for determining the regularities of defining the changes in the sizes of the ground dam break are carried out. Two models of the dam have been tested in the laboratory: the first is 1.4 m in width and 0.35 m in height, and the second is 1.4×0.22 m. 6 experiments have been carried out–three for each model. The development of the experimental data allowed to obtain values of width and depth of break for each model, depending on time. Based on the data obtained, the graphs in changes of the width and depth of the dam break were built.
