Abstract

The effect of natural tartaric acid and its amino derivatives on the antioxidant properties of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is studied. The studies were performed by the photometric method, using a 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) reagent. As a result, it turned out that both natural tartaric acid and its derivatives do not exhibit pronounced antioxidant properties, but when added in combination with Vitamin C, showed an obvious synergistic effect. The minimal effective concentrations of there compounds are determined.
