Abstract

Dynamic changes in the legislative requirements of Republic of Armenia in the field of environment protection and the need to comply with the requirements of international standards are pushing industrial manufacturers to search for effective and affordable methods for treating wastewater from the mine. Underground mine wastewater is formed when natural waters mix with water from drilling and blasting operations. Mine wastewaters are distinguished by a wide variety of chemical composition, their reuse or discharge into natural reservoirs without preliminary treatment is not possible. In practice, methods of sedimentation, filtration, adsorption, etc. are used for cleaning the wastewater from mine. Combined cleaning methods are often used. This article discusses a two-stage method of cleaning wastewater from the mine from suspended particles up to 99%, from copper - 50…87%, from zinc - 35…84%, from iron - 20…74%, from cadmium - 3…20%.

The research results have shown that the cleaning method is effective in reducing suspended solids, copper, zinc and iron. This method can be used as a purification of the circulating water supply system and does not require maintaining a certain temperature of wastewater.
