Abstract

The methods for determining the strength of welded joints performed by different types of welding using laboratory tests. Methods for the control of welded joints control are given. For the tests, the method of destructive control is chosen - tests for shear (rupture), tear and impact strength.

The work describes the test procedure, a laboratory experiment was carried out. The test samples were attached using special devices. The results of laboratory bench tests are summarized in a summary table. Damage diagrams are given, the results of laboratory tests were compared with the permissible strength of welded points.

The results in the form of numerical values of sample loading and in the form of visual diagrams of welded sample stretching obtained during laboratory tests showed that the strength of the welded point made in the environment of protective gas by electrical rivet according to repair technology is not inferior to the strength of spot welding made using a contact spot welding apparatus. The strength of samples obtained with the help of electric rivets and the contact spot welding exceeded the minimum permissible strength of welded joint points. The disclosed method of determining the strength of welded joints makes it possible to make an optimal choice of the type of welding for the body repair of an automobile.

Using the justified technology of the repair effects, samples of the power elements of the car, namely the spars of the VAZ car, were prepared for testing. Samples for impact tests welded according to the proposed method are presented. At the next stage, it is necessary to test the obtained samples of the body's power elements for impact, simulating a head-on collision of cars according to one of the methods.

The proposed method of determining the strength of the welded joints made by different types of welds using laboratory tests makes it possible to carry out an optimal choice of the type of welding, which ensures the implementation of the welding repair technology, which is not inferior in the quality and strength to the process of the manufacturer.
