Abstract

An LCV class car with a Gazelle NEXT electric motor is considered. The indicators affecting economy, efficiency, and environmental friendliness are analyzed, and a comparison is made with those cars with internal combustion engines using various types of fuel as a power plant. An analysis of carbon dioxide emissions from various types of sources has been performed. The process of forming efficiency on the path of electricity from a power plant to the wheels of an electric vehicle is considered. A comparison of the economic performance of vehicles with different types of engines has been made. The analysis involved vehicles running on different types of hydrocarbon fuels and with electric motors. Calculations of fuel/electricity costs and maintenance of vehicles with different types of engines have been performed, and the cost of 1 km of travel has been determined. A separate stage is the analysis of the formation of emissions during the operation of the vehicles in question. The paper presents the results of calculating the mileage emissions of pollutants and reduced emissions for the GAZ A22R23 car. When analyzing the emissions of the GAZ C41R9E electric vehicle, an assumption was made that the electric vehicle itself does not emit pollutants, however, emissions are present during electricity generation. The calculated energy consumption for the analyzed mileage of the car is taken as the base value in the calculation. The conducted analysis helps to determine the expediency of choosing light commercial electric vehicles as the rolling stock of modern motor transport enterprises, taking into account the main tasks of the enterprise. For further comparisons of the performance of electric vehicles, it is necessary to determine the reliability parameters and specify the costs of maintenance and repair.
