Abstract

The development, production, and launch of even small satellites is an important and symbolic step in terms of stimulating the development of aerospace engineering in a given region and active cooperation in the field of high technology. The space industry is of particular interest to Armenia, given its geopolitical importance in the region, its scientific and technical potential, and its education system for training professional engineers. The development of the aerospace sector is a strategic priority for Armenia, with a significant multiplier effect. Being inherently interdisciplinary, space activities act as a catalyst for cooperation between scientific, design, and educational institutions, contributing to the synergistic development of related fields of science, technology, and training.

The development of small satellites as an interdisciplinary field is of particular importance for technical universities with a view to introducing and implementing joint new educational programs. To this end, NPUA is conducting research and applying new materials for small satellites. In recent years, many countries have been closely involved in the development, production, and technical operation of microsatellites, which are mainly used in educational and research programs to probe specific areas of the planet.

A mathematical model was developed and a numerical analysis of the unsteady temperature state of the Cubesat 2U satellite in a typical sun-synchronous orbit was performed.

The results obtained indicate the need for urgent design adjustments, such as redesigning radiation surfaces, introducing active or passive heat removal systems from the battery block, and optimizing the internal layout to minimize the thermal impact on critical components.
