Abstract

The measures applied in car suspensions are discussed, which allow to reduce the body lean by increasing the stiffness of suspension, the resistance of shock absorbers and the stiffness of anti-roll bars. The compromise values of the parameters of vehicle suspension or their changes depend on the operating conditions of the vehicle and the position of the driver.

Structural features of adaptive suspensions are presented in the work, where the degree of damping of shock absorbers varies depending on the condition of the road surface, traffic parameters and the position of the driver. In modern designs of adaptive suspensions, the degree of damping of shock absorbers is controlled by using electromagnetic valves or a magnetorheological fluid.
