Abstract

The synthesis of some secondary amines, quaternary ammonium salts containing a 2-hydroxyl group is carried out. The synthesis of secondary amines is carried out in a microwave oven which allows to reduce the amount of monoethanolamine used from a five-fold excess to twice the molar amount. The antibacterial activity of the mentioned compounds has been investigated.
