Abstract

A technology for the formation of zinc oxide compositions of the antibacterial drug doxycicline (DOK) in the form and composite films with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) has been developed. The optimal technological parameters of deposition of nanosize zinc oxide films on the surface of antibacterial drug in the form of coatings and composite films with PVA are determined. Zinc oxide composites of doxycycline were obtained by DC magnetron deposition of nanosized ZnO films on the surface of the preparation in the form of coatings on glass and composite films with PVA at low temperatures (-300 C≤T≤300 С) of the substrate. A significant increase in the antibacterial activity of the zinc oxide compositions of the DOK was shown both in the form of coatings and composite films with PVA at thicknesses of a nanosized ZnO film of the order of 90 nm. The zinc oxide composites of doxycycline show a strong antibacterial activity superior to the original preparation with significantly lower concentrations in the composite.
