Abstract

The photoprotection of high-pressure polyethylene films (HPPEf) is carried out by surface deposition of thin ZnO protective coatings (ТPC) with reduced UV transmittance and high oxygen permeability. The study of the photo-oxidation kinetics of these polymer materials shows that the retardation of aging is due to the suppression of photoinitiation.
