Abstract

The removal and oxidative degradation of the adsorbed on zeolite phosphorus-organic compounds – malathion and armin are studied. An investigation on the behavior of malathion and armin in an alkaline medium, as well as this interaction with ozone is introduced. This allows to clean the sewage of malathion and armin and also almost completely restore the adsorption capacity of zeolite used for removing the substance. The phosphorus-organic compoundsÿ decomposition is accompanied by the release of carbon dioxide, as well as the formation of less toxic derivatives of malathion. It is concluded that zeolite promotes the rapid oxidation of phosphorus-organic compounds.
