Abstract

The plane contact problem on the bending of the beam of finite length on elastic foundation in the form of a rough strip in the plane strain conditions, the generalized model of the bend in the framework of S.P.Timoshenko, where in addition to vertical forces, axial compressive forces also affect the deflection of the beam is considered. The problem is reduced to the solution of a nonlinear integral equation of Hammerstein type with the additional condition. An effective solution to the problem is obtained by the developed methodology based on the theory of Hammerstein and the principle of contracting maps. An approximate analytical solution is obtained.
