Abstract

The goal of the work is to develop a computer program for calculating the cutting depths of a multi-stage spiral drill from the condition of equality of the products of torques and axial forces of each cutting stage. To solve this problem, a virtual device has been developed in the LabVIEW software environment allowing to quickly and accurately determine the cutting depth of the cutting steps of a multi-stage spiral drill, which ensures the equality of the products of the torques and axial forces of all its cutting steps with an accuracy to the second decimal place.

The developed virtual device has a user-friendly interface and will find application both in the design processes of multi-stage spiral drills and the development of hole processing technology in various metals and alloys. It can also be useful to undergraduates, graduate students and researchers of engineering specialties when conducting their research.
