Abstract

The semantic, structural, grammatical, stylistic peculiarities of Armenian, Russian and English phraseological units, expressing gossip, slander, verbiage are considered and contrasted. The similanties and differences, of the peculiarities of the considered units are investiagted. This, in its turn, helps reveal the similarities and differences in the linguistic thinking of the peoples speaking the considered languages.
