TECHNOLOGICAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE SECONDARY USE OF ABANDONED QUARRIES

Abstract

The technological possibilities of reusing the abandoned quarries are considered, which will significantly improve the ecological state of the nearby quarry areas. The technology of extracting wall stone of the correct form with a wheeled stone-cutting machine is presented, which ensures the elimination of the formation of residual steps, the reduction in the amount of waste and extraction of stone from the harder lower layers of the quarry.
