Abstract

In the binary system Bi-Te, six compounds (Bi6Te, Bi5Te, Bi8Te5, BiTe, BiTe2, BiTe4) have been synthesized and analyzed by the differential-thermal analysis. As a result, the possibility of obtaining bismuth-telluride oxide compounds in the binary system of Bi2O3-TeO2 from bismuth-telluride alloys by low-temperature oxidation (400-650°C) in the air has been revealed.
