Abstract

Some issues concerning the stability of SISO (i.e. having one input and one output) adaptive control systems for rejecting the external disturbances are discussed. Based on the properties of positive real transfer matrices, it is shown that such systems are stable for arbitrary large values of the adaptation gain, even in the case of systems with right half plane zeros.
