INVESTIGATING THE PROCESS OF ROLLING FLAT SURFACES WITH A ROTATING TOOL

Abstract

The new possibilities of surface plastic deformation of the working surfaces of machine parts are shown. There are limited number rotating tools for rolling flat surfaces. A ball roller is presented in which, during the plastic deformation of surfaces, the ball rotates around its axis and simultaneously, together with the tool, around the axis of the machine spindle. In order to increase the productivity of the process, it is possible to use a tool with several balls. The advantages of the proposed tool are presented.
