THE CARRYING CAPACITY OF THE ELEMENTS OF THE GAS TRANSPORT SYSTEM USING THE LINEAR CORRELATION METHOD
Keywords:

The fatigue process of the elements (weld seams) of the gas transportation system and probabilistic methods for determining median values and their dispersion have been considered. Functional relationships between indicators and parameters of influencing factors, which have a singular or multi-parameter nature, have been established.
A special device for fatigue testing is used, which works on the principle of torque transmission through a closed power contour and implements the specified loading mode in the "hard" and "soft" stability modes, which expands the possibilities of testing under stationary and variable loading conditions. The design of the device is improved in the operations of placing test specimens and displacing tested test specimens, which speeds up the maintenance process of the device.
The method of linearizing functions in mathematical statistics has been applied to solve the proposed problem. Due to the variety of functional relationships in the process of linearization (power, logarithmic, exponential), generalizations have been made for the effective use of the obtained results in the calculation and design procedures: the selection of a specific and unique coordinate system with the maximum value of the correlation coefficient ; a partial generalization, which is typically used for graphical representation of fatigue lines and their parameters within .
