In the modern world, increased attention is paid to compliance with environmental norms and standards. In this regard, electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular. With the advent of the first cargo models of electric vehicles, the question about the advisability of their use in various spheres of human arises.
Increasing the range of the GAZelle NEXT with an electric motor in the urban cycle is important for its economic efficiency, as it reduces the operating costs by reducing the number of charging sessions and increases the operational flexibility, allowing more deliveries.
An LCV class vehicle with a GAZelle NEXT electric motor has been presented for research. The main technical indicators of the object are studied. Based on them, the actual energy consumption is calculated for each type of movement and in the urban cycle as a whole. Based on the obtained indicators, the actual range in the urban cycle is determined.
Analysing the value obtained of the actual range, it can be stated that thes exploitation of thes models is only expedient in urban cargo transportation.
